Shine wearable technology app in unexpected u-turn to shock Android users

Shine AppIt was announced this week that Shine the wearable technology device designed by the company co-owned by former Apple CEO John Sculley, is to ditch all Android ideas in a dramatic turn around to focus purely on iOS. For those unfamiliar with the product, it is a motion tracker, designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, which has drawn in good attention, as it would have to be warn all day.

Although there is always the possibility that the Android version could come at a later date, many fans are infuriated due to the fact Shine from Misfit Wearables is Founders Fund-backed product, many of whom you would expect to be Android users. Backers were originally told that Shine would be able to support Android 4.1 and up when it officially launched.

It was not announced how many of the backers were Android device holders, however I think it is safe to say there were a few of them considering the business received almost x8 the projected target fund it hoped for. Also you can imagine it won’t be long until they are all demanding there investment back.

Whether Shine will decided to hold up there end of the bargain, we will just have to wait and see.
