And for those of you in the US asking how they’re able to do this legally, don’t fret. HealthTap, with the help of lawyers, have created a new type of liability insurance that’s never existed before. It enables doctors to interact with people exclusively over HealthTap.

It gets better though. HealthTap has a rigorous recruitment process for doctors that want to participate. Doctors need to be licensed in the US, in good standing, and have no disciplinary actions against them. In these respects, HealthTap is stricter than the state licensing board.

We’re seriously impressed by the sound of this app, but like everything, the proof is in the pudding. Anything that stops you upsetting the boss because you’re having to leave work a few hours early can only be a good thing. If it does offer what the makers tell us, this could become huge.

One thing is certain though – HealthTap could well be a hypochondriac’s dream app.
