CES 2012: Wahoo Fitness debuts the Blue HR, the first Bluetoooth heart rate strap for the iPhone 4S
One of the big CES 2012 health stories is the arrival of the Wahoo Fitness Blue HR heart rate strap. It was announced in December but is set to go on sale in the US any moment now. Its big claim is that it is the world’s first Bluetooth Smart heart rate strap made for the iPhone 4S (and also other Bluetooth Smart Ready devices). It is a standard format of a strap and an accompanying app.
The other smart bit is that it works with an array of fitness apps including such as RunKeeper, MapMyRide, and 321Run to work – so in theory you can now have heart rate data (and it also measures calories burned too), your playlists, your phone, GPS maps and more– all in one device.
It is on sale for priced at $79.99.
