Omron’s SleepDesign Lite tracks your body clock and aims to improve your sleep

We all want to find out how we can get a better night’s sleep. But with gadgets like iPads, Kindles, smartphones, TVs and laptops having made their way into our bedrooms, many of us are struggling to shut down at the end of a long day and get those essential ZZZs for a healthy mind and body.

Could yet another gadget be the solution?  Japanese electronics company Omron has launched two new sleep-monitoring products – the HSL-001 and the HSL-101 – to market, joining the existing apps and gizmos that promise to help you with your sleep pattern.

The former is placed on your mattress directly and picks up on bed movements, while the latter uses a radio-frequency sensor to scan your body movements from within five foot. Clever little things!

Both, of course, come with a smartphone app so that you can track your sleep and look at potential ways to improve it. The little gadgets come in pretty pastels of white, pink and blue.

Have you used a sleep monitor gadget? Did it help you with your sleep problems?
