NetDoctor comes to your mobile phone

netdoctor-mobilePopular online health and medicine database NetDoctor.co.uk has launched a new easy-to-use mobile site, so users can now access information 24/7 from their pockets.

There are all kinds of resources online for diagnosing problems or finding out more about the medication you’re taking, but with more than eight million unique visitors a month NetDoctor.co.uk is one of the most popular online destinations for health-related content.

In response to this huge amount of traffic, NetDoctor.co.uk has developed a mobile website over at m.netdoctor.co.uk, specially designed to provide users with quick and easy ways of searching through the site’s content while on the move.

Granted it may not usually be big news that a brand has made an offering specially for mobile, but for a site that some users need to access urgently, it’s an important and necessary step.

Here are a few of our favourite apps for on-the-go medical advice too:

NHS Direct

The NHS Direct app is great if you or someone you know is experiencing problems and you need to quickly and easily figure out what’s wrong, as well as the necessary next steps to take. If you decide you need further help, you can send your details straight to NHS Direct’s telephone service and someone will call you back.

Available from iTunes for free.

KidsCheckup

KidsCheckup is (quite obviously) designed specially with kids in mind, you can browse a range of symptoms and try to figure out what problems they may be having or look up advice about how best to deal with ongoing issues and ailments. This is a great one for first time parents who are worries about their child’s health but aren’t sure whether it’s worth a trip to the doctor quite yet.

Available from iTunes for free.

Everyday Health

Everyday Health is less about diagnosing problems and more about giving you lifestyle tips for different ailments, ensuring you’re as healthy as you can be.

Available from iTunes for free.
